Over the past two months, you’ve been hearing a lot from me in messages and emails about the need to discuss the future direction of our church. I am excited to finally be able to invite you to be part of the process!
This Sunday we’ll begin a crucial four-week period of spiritual discernment which we’re calling "Readiness Assessment.” During this time frame, we’ll be offering many opportunities for you to hear what our pastoral leadership is thinking and to offer helpful feedback. I would greatly appreciate it if you would attend one of these meetings. Because we believe that God directs our church through pastoral leadership plus congregational feedback, your input is invaluable as we chart our course forward.
Each meeting will last about an hour. We’ll begin with a presentation lasting approximately 30 minutes, to be followed by an open forum for feedback and a brief yet impactful questionnaire.
Meetings will be held in the café at the following times. I’m grouping these by time of day. Pick the one that is most convenient for you. Reservations are not required.
After services (10:30-11:30 am & 12:15-1:15 pm)
- Sunday, July 7
- Sunday, July 14
Weekday Evening (6:00-7:00 pm & 7:30-8:30 pm)
- Wednesday, July 10
- Friday, July 12
Daytime
- Tuesday, July 9 (11:00 am-Noon & 12:30-1:30 pm)
- Thursday, July 11 (11:00 am-Noon & 12:30-1:30 pm)
Free childcare is available for birth through fifth grade for all meetings. If you’re coming to a Sunday meeting, please let the Hope Kids greeter team know you’re staying for the Readiness Assessment meeting when you check your children into Hope Kids.
I cannot stress enough how much your participation in this process matters. Your insights at this stage will give us confidence that we’re hearing from God about what our next five to ten years should look like.
